Harmony of forms between Asolo, Maser and Possagno

DISCOVERING PURE BEAUTY THROUGH THE UNIQUE FORMS OF CANOVA AND THE PEACE OF THE SENSES OF A GOOD TYPICAL WINE

Duration: 7 hours

From Vicenza to Possagno, passing through Asolo and Maser: a tour that crosses centuries of culture and art without giving up the taste of typical Venetian flavors.

Departure from Vicenza to reach the small town of Maser, where one of Palladio's most admired works stands: Villa Barbaro, home to the prestigious agricultural estate of the brothers Daniele and Marcantonio, with elegant Palladian proportions, a harmonious surrounding nature and decorated with magnificent paintings by Veronese. The estate complex also includes the Barbaro Temple, strongly desired by the architect. It is a church with a circular plan, whose symbol - the circle - being infinite, according to the architect is the form that comes closest to the representation of God.

The time has come to reach Asolo, to relax and enjoy a tasty wine tasting in a winery in the heart of the Asolo hills where the flavors and the perfumes make their products unique and where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama. The journey will continue to discover Possagno, precisely in the Gipsoteca, where you can immerse yourself in the perfect shapes of the sculptures of Canova, one of the greatest sculptors in history, who was born here in the mid-1700s. With eyes full of beauty and with aftertaste of the regional wine still in the taste buds, we head towards the starting point.
